Профсоюз в составе АФТ-КПП [AFL-CIO]. Основан в 1901 в г. Вашингтоне. Насчитывал 30 тыс. членов (1994) в 125 местных отделениях [local]. В 1937 раскололся, небольшая фракция вошла в состав КПП [CIO] под данным названием. В 1996 вошел в состав Объединенного межнационального союза рабочих пищевой промышленности и розничной торговли [United Food and Commercial Workers International Union]
